Kickboxing is a group of stand-up combat sports based on kicking and punching, historically developed from Karate, Muay Thai, Kun Khmer, and Boxing. Kickboxing is practiced for self-defense, general fitness, or as a contact sport.

Kickboxing can be a fantastic cardio fitness session where every aspect of the human body undergoes training from strength, endurance, stamina to technique. There is no particular age group for these sessions but mostly adults enroll for Kickboxing. The workout is coupled with Kettle Bells and Dumbells for further fitness training. The instructor has over 20 years experience in various martial arts like Muay Thai, Karate etc.  

Is Kickboxing more about fitness or self-defense?

A large part of the class focuses on fitness and endurance/stamina building. Then of course there are techniques being taught to help in everyday life. 

What am I supposed to carry for the session?

Carry a pair of unsoiled shoes (to protect the wooden flooring), water bottle & a towel (as you will sweat a lot).
