Hatha Yoga stems from a deep understanding of the mechanics of the body, and uses yogic postures, or yogasanas, to enable the system to sustain higher levels of energy.

The Square offers the essence of classical Hatha Yoga as taught in its most pristine form by means of regular classes by the trainers of Isha School of Yoga.

What forms of yoga are taught in this program?

The yoga program includes various courses under the branch of Hatha Yoga viz. Angamardana, Surya Kriya, Surya Shakti, Yogasanas, BhutaShuddhi etc.

Angamardana is aimed towards attaining mastery over the limbs and is a phenomenal tool to create wellbeing with a fit body without having to go to the gym. It’s a complete gym alternative without the use of any weights or machines. It greatly helps in improving posture and flexibility / strength of the spine. It has been specially designed by Sadhguru.

Yogasanas are the subtle aspects of hatha yoga being targeted. It has a complete spiritual dimension to it, which can aid in enhancing perception and self-awareness along with flexibility.

Bhutashuddhi is aimed at cleansing the elements which make up this body. This seemingly solid body in known in the yogic culture to be a play of just 5 elements viz earth, water, fire, wind and space. This program is aimed at cleansing each of the elements which can result in smooth functioning of life.

Surya Kriya | Surya Shakti are similar to the Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation) with emphasis on the spiritual dimension of it.

Are these advanced courses or can beginners to yoga enroll in it?

None of the yoga courses conducted at The Square require prior knowledge of yoga. The courses are designed such that beginners as well as advanced practitioners can benefit equally. For beginners, it would open a complete dimension to wellbeing and for prior practitioners of yoga, it would give a highly in-depth view to Yoga where focus is not only on flexibility but on internalizing the practice.

I have back problems. Can I join the yoga courses?

This cannot be generalized and will need the participant to check with the instructor.

What do I need to carry?

Carry your yoga mats and water bottles. Kindly wear loose and non-obstrusive cotton clothes. Shoes shall not be allowed for this program.
